Mold Kitchen

Can I get a custom silicone mold made from my own 3D file?

Yes — upload your .stl file and Mold Kitchen's design team sends back a 3D preview of the finished mold along with a price, before anything is charged. A small silicone mold starts at $30 plus a one-time $10 setup fee the first time you order a design. Once you approve it, it ships in about a week.

What file do I need?

Upload a .stl file — the format almost every 3D design tool and mold maker reads. Files up to 25 MB, parts up to 320 mm (about 12.6 in) on the longest side. A logo or photo as .svg, .png or .jpg works too; we turn it into a shape. Send us a file or image ›

How the price works

Price is based on how much silicone the mold uses, with a $30 floor for small molds, plus a one-time $10 tooling setup fee on a new design — reorders skip the setup fee. See the full cost breakdown ›.

What happens after you upload

A person checks that your design will pour correctly before anything is charged. At checkout your card is authorized, not charged — if the design works, we charge the card and start making it; if it won't, we release the hold and you pay nothing.

Don't have a 3D file?

Send a photo or describe what you want instead and Mold Kitchen's Design Lab or design team can build the shape for you — see making a mold from a photo ›.
