A small custom silicone mold starts at $30, plus a one-time $10 setup fee the first time you order a design — $40 total for a typical small mold. Bigger molds cost more because the price is based on how much silicone they use; a mold that takes about a kilogram of silicone runs $140 or more. Reordering the same design later skips the setup fee.
The price is based on the weight of silicone your mold needs. A bigger mold, a thicker wall, or more cavities uses more silicone, so it costs more — there's no separate "complexity" charge on top of that.
A $10 tooling setup fee applies the first time you order a given design — it covers printing the tooling your mold is poured from. Order the same design again later and the setup fee is skipped; you pay only the per-mold price.

Vacuum-formed plastic trays and laser-cut stencils use their own formulas, usually cheaper than silicone for the same shape. See the full comparison on how it works ›.
