These are the terms for ordering from Mold Kitchen, a product of FabLabz, Pittsburgh PA. Plain English, no legalese walls — if anything here is unclear, email [email protected] and we’ll clarify it.
Effective date: August 20, 2026.
Orders, pricing, and charging
Prices shown at checkout are what you pay — no surprise fees. A real person reviews every order before your card is charged: at checkout your card is authorized, not charged. If your design will pour correctly, we process payment and start making it. If it won’t, we release the hold, you pay nothing, and we email you an explanation with an offer to fix the model.
Reorders and tooling on file
Your first order includes making the 3D-printed tooling your mold is poured against. We keep that tooling on file so a reorder skips setup and pours from the same master, for two (2) years from your last order, after which files may be deleted. If you want a mold kept longer, reorder before the window closes and the clock resets.
Ownership of what you upload
By uploading a 3D model, logo, or image, you represent that you own it or have the rights to use it for your intended purpose — personal or commercial. You agree to indemnify and hold Mold Kitchen (FabLabz) harmless against any claim arising from what you upload, including claims that it infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights.
Acceptable use
Don’t upload characters, logos, or marks that belong to someone else unless you have the rights to use them. This applies whether the design is for personal use or resale — a birthday cake at home is different from a mold you intend to sell casts from, and rights holders draw that line too.
Notice and takedown
If you’re a rights holder and believe an order uses your copyrighted or trademarked work without permission, email [email protected] with what it is and where you saw it. We’ll pause the affected order, remove the file, and respond promptly.
Refunds and returns
See our full warranty & returns policy for how repairs, replacements, and refunds work.
Limitation of liability
Mold Kitchen (FabLabz) is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our molds or trays. Our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business changes. The effective date above reflects the latest version.
